1-Speech on Freedom of Press

Respected Principal, respected professor and teacher, all staff members and my dear fellow students!

First of all, thanks for taking the time and becoming part of this important forum. Like every year, this year too, we have gathered to discuss this topic, which requires a lot of attention. The subject of this year There is freedom of press in democracy '.

Freedom means freedom and it can be in any context, such as freedom or transfer, speaking, right to act, according to its will and desire. Media (electronic, print, online) and press is the most prominent and important platform for expressing themselves.

Although the press had referred to the newspaper industry in the past; With the advent of technology there are various other tools like online news, radio, television, blogs and websites through which people get news.

India is a democratic country and every person has the right to speech and expression. Automatically the freedom of the press will be affected by any restriction that applies to freedom of speech or expression because the press plays an important role in expressing people's feelings and emotions.

The press freedom in democracy is very important because today people are informed and they can not be restricted from sharing their thoughts and ideas. In a democratic country like India, press and news media enjoy big independence; It also acts as an important check on the authorities, administrators and the government. The Free Press usually notices any social wrong and illegal activities.

Press and media freedom is also important because they stand against corruption, dictatorship and malice. They work at quick speed to give true news at all times. They help the readers to keep informed about everything happening in the nation. Therefore, the freedom of the press in democracy is a fundamental requirement for achieving the ideology of democracy.

However, it also becomes the fundamental duty and responsibility of the press and the media to work towards enhancing and strengthening the integrity and sovereignty of the nation. This will help people create a harmonious atmosphere and create unity.

In all the independent and democratic nations, the dignity and respect of the citizen is protected through press and media and thus freedom of the press in democracy is very important. However, the freedom of the press is still an issue of debate on whether the press should be given full independence or certain restrictions should be imposed on press and media.

Some of today's students may like to become reporter in the near future. They will be honored with the responsibilities of accurate and fair news reporting to the people of the country. They can not enjoy abundant censorship on the press; However, they should ensure that they do not incite civilians against administrators, government or authority. Therefore, the freedom of the press will be best ensured in democracy to spread fake, fair, news and incite public against the government.

I rest my speech with the hope that you will fulfill your responsibilities and duties with all sincerity and honesty.

Thanks!

3-Speech on Freedom of Press

Best wishes for the day - I hope that you will find this day in the best spirit!

Today, we are going to discuss a very relevant topic and which is quite debatable, i.e. the press freedom in India We all want independence, but it comes with a sense of responsibility. And in a country like India, the media has to continually fight with a retrograde mindset like communalism and racism, and people are able to fight poverty and other social wrongdoings as well.

Freedom of journalism and ethics are discussed in these days, especially in India - ring press' as well as in the context of electronic media. These topics should include a comprehensive picture in the discussion and should worry about every possible aspect because the media has a great impact on our lives and has emerged as a powerful medium to create an opinion.

The importance of press freedom is about the fact that the possibility of establishing a personal relationship with many events for NewSworth is simply impossible. Therefore, while looking for news, the media has to work on behalf of the masses. It is a medium through which people receive information and ideas without any interruption, which proves to be very helpful in intelligent self-government, which is a democracy.

To make democracy work well, it is important that citizens remain informed of the latest developments around the world because only then will people be able to make logical decisions. Of course, you can not expect a citizen of a country to collect news or make opinions on their own. This is where media plays a role because it plays a key role in a democratic system and acts as an agency by helping people stay updated on important news and events. This is the reason why the freedom of the press is considered so important in all democratic countries, whereas it is not allowed in totalitarian or feudal set-up.

In our country, the media has played a tremendous role in facilitating the use of information related to social and political events, while it is also aware of the evils in our society. It is through our media that we know about the economic condition of our country and how much of its people are suffering from poverty, as we know about the suicides of our farmers in various states of our country and then various Areas of honor killings due to illegally formed khap panchayats To do all this, that is to sit in one place and provide important news to us, our media is very much appreciated.

However, the media also has to bear many other responsibilities, which are giving the right information to the people and there should not be any distortion of the news, if any false news is broadcast, then it can damage reputation. The person involved in spreading false news or the media group.

Therefore, media or press is an important pillar in a democratic system and giving it its due freedom, we should also ensure that this freedom is not misused. With this I end my speech.

Thanks to all of you!

4-Speech on Freedom of Press

Hearty Congratulations Ladies and Gentlemen - Welcome to today's speech!

As you all know that we have gathered here today to discuss the freedom of the press in India. But before we start this ceremony, I first provide a note of special thanks to our special guest honorary ... to accept our request humbly. He has been a senior correspondent and journalist for the past 20 years in the media industry.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I am your host, Nargis Khan for today and I would like to give a short lecture on the subject. The reason behind organizing this meeting is that we are witnessing a lot of violence against the media persons and their freedom is being continually suppressed by the people sitting in power. Most media celebrities have been reduced to play in the hands of ruling classes. Since the media represents the voice of the people and any gross misdeed of this channel can deprive their people of the right to information, so it is our responsibility that we protect our freedom by raising our voices.

Freedom of the media or freedom of the press is known as a theory where through various media, communication and expression, electronic and print media, especially published material, should be easily occupied. This is an important right of media workers who should be used independently by them. Such independence does not include interference of an overriding state and preservation of freedom of the press can be ensured through legal or constitutional means.

According to government regulation, any government is liable to differentiate between such materials which can be made public and others who are deliberately protected from public disclosure. The information of the state is protected due to any of the two reasons, i.e. the importance of information from the secret, sensitive or classified form of sorting of information or the preservation of national interest. Many governments are bound to laws or laws based on freedom of information, which are used to describe the area of national interest.

The freedom of the media or press comes with the expression of freedom and freedom of speech. In a democratic country like us, the freedom of the press becomes very necessary as it acts as a watchdog on three important aspects of democracy, that means the legislature, executive and judiciary. However, freedom of the press is conditional in nature and is not complete in the sense that it is subject to certain restrictions which are mentioned in paragraph 19 (2). The reason mentioned below is the land (for the freedom of the press) that can be found in Article 19 (2):

  • India's integrity and sovereignty
  • Public order
  • State security
  • Friendly relationship with foreign citizens
  • Morality
  • contempt of court

We sincerely acknowledge that the media plays an important role in ensuring welfare, but sometimes it works negligently. Our Father of the Nation - Mahatma Gandhi - once said, "The role of journalism should be of service. The press is a great power, but as an unavoidable flow of water submerges the entire country and destroys crops, even uncontrolled pen also works, but to destroy it. "There are three important pillars of democratic establishment, as described above, legislative. Executive and judiciary The Press serves as the fourth pillar in a democratic system. The press plays an important role in fulfilling justice and ensuring public welfare.

Therefore, freedom of the media should not be curbed, but it should be broadcasted so that its possibilities are fully realized.

Thanks!
