Indian is an agricultural country. Since ancient times our mainstay of the economy of our country has been agriculture. Along with our dependence on agriculture, the fact is very important for us that more than seventy-seven percent of the population of the country resides in the villages. A poet has written the truth that - Where is our Hindustan, it is situated in our villages Therefore, it is possible to evaluate the significance of India's year by the villages here. They can not be separated from any point of view.

In ancient times, the country called gold birds was full of grains, but after the continued invasion of foreigners and after this, the condition of the Indian villages became extremely pathetic and a matter of concern for everyone. Indian villages have become synonymous with unemployment, ignorance and backwardness over time.

There are many reasons for the miserable and insignificant state of Indian villages. If we look at the history, we see that after the invasion of the Mughals, when the British came under the control of the country, then the condition of the villages was extremely worrisome. The main reason for this was that the British never made India self-reliant. His attitude was always a business towards India, which has resulted in the loss of cottage industry and agricultural system. Continued exploitation of the landlords and Seth-Sahukars along with the British also did not promote the opportunity to recover the villagers.

Most of the people living in the villages of the country are still suffering from conservatism and superstitious beliefs. Old traditions and social bonds have kept them in such a way that even after five decades of independence, the main stream of development has separated themselves. Asymmetrics like racism, linguistic are still as strong as they used to be before. Some people take more debt than feat for false fame or social prestige. Whom they are unable to pay towards life. Due to poverty and illiteracy, people keep on continuously raising a child who draws their level of life downwards, as well as lack of proper nutrition and education makes children's future dark. The people of the villages are still associated with many types of problems that are possible with few collective efforts. There is considerable potential for the use of non-conventional sources of energy in villages but due to continuous neglect of the villages, people are still cooking and eating food.

In the field of science and technology, scientists have achieved immense success, which leads to the seemingly downgrading of the world. Indian villages are no longer untouched in this race of development. Today, all the necessities are being provided to remote villages as well as electricity and water. The information related to good agricultural, health and good living is being given to the rural people through Doordarshan and other media. The process of linking the villages with roads and railways to the cities is continuing. Many projects have been submitted from time to time by the government for the development of the villages, in which Panchayati Raj system is also very prominent, which has improved considerably in rural areas. The collective endeavor of the government, the rural people and all Indian citizens will certainly bring color and our Indian village will be able to become an ideal village.
