National Safety Day and National Safety Week

In order to increase Safety awareness among the people, on the 4th March, every year, national Safety day / week campaign is celebrated in India to remember the establishment of this program. The National Security Council of India is a self-governing body (non-profit and non-governmental organization for public service), which was established on 4 March 1966 under the Societies Act in Mumbai with 8000 members. This is a national movement on annual basis to reduce the loss of life and save lives, including their economic losses and various human problems by benefiting them with safety, health and environmental support services.

It is celebrated with full enthusiasm to make people aware about how to avoid industrial accidents by demonstrating the safety awareness program in the private areas, which is not covered by any security law. During the entire week's campaign, various types of special activities are displayed for the people under safety requirements.

National Security Day / Week is a week's Safety campaign which is celebrated every year from 4 March (Sunday) to March 10 (Saturday).

It is celebrated by government and non-governmental organizations, together with co-operation, including health organizations and industrial members.
