The number of countries participating in this festival year-by-year is going on increasing. Since then, it is celebrated every year to focus the activities related to the milk and milk industry throughout the world. This festival is nationalized by organizing festive related activities at national and international levels. It is celebrated to increase awareness among people about the importance of milk and its products for everyone throughout life.

World Milk Day 2018 will be celebrated by people all over the world on June 1, Friday.

World Milk Day was established for the first time on June 1 by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization to commemorate globally every year. It was chosen to celebrate June 1, because during this time, World Dairy Day was being celebrated by many countries already.
