National Energy Conservation Day: 14 December

National Energy Conservation Day is celebrated every year on December 14 by the people of India. Energy Conservation Act in India was executed by the Energy Efficiency Bureau (BEE) in 2001. Energy efficiency bureau is a constitutional body that falls under the Government of India and helps in the development of policies and strategies to reduce the use of energy.

The purpose of the Energy Conservation Act in India is to appoint the auditors, along with professional, qualified and energetic managers who specialize in implementing energy efficiency projects and in energy, projects, policy analysis, finance management.

National Energy Conservation Day will be observed on Friday, December 14, 2018.

What is energy conservation?

National Energy Conservation Day in India is to make people aware of the importance of energy as well as protection through saving, energy saving. The true meaning of energy conservation is reducing the unnecessary use of energy and saving energy using less energy. Use of energy efficiently in future is very necessary to save it. In order to achieve more effective results in the direction of energy conservation planning, energy conservation should be contained in the behavior of every person.

National Energy Conservation Day

Any energy saving can be done by taking care of its seriousness, many of the daily use of electrical appliances such as: using wings, bulbs, samarsavi, shutter and so on etc. This is the most efficient way of saving energy for additional use, which plays the most important role in energy conservation campaign.

Fossil fuels, crude oil, coal, natural gas etc. generate enough energy to use in daily life, but their growing demand from day to day creates a fear of natural resources. Energy conservation is the only way to replace renewed means of energy in place of renewed sources of energy.

With the aim of making energy users aware of the energy consumption and efficient energy conservation, various countries have imposed taxes on the use of energy and carbon. In addition to reducing the use of energy on high energy consumption, encourages consumers to use energy within a range.

People should be more vigilant on this topic that, the bright light on the workplaces brings various troubles (diseases) such as: stress, headache, blood pressure, fatigue and reduce efficiency. Whereas, the level of productivity of natural light workers increases and reduces energy consumption.

In India, Petroleum Conservation Research Association was established in the year 1977 to promote energy conservation and efficiency among the Indian people. This is a very big step taken by the Government of India to keep the energy at great level. In order to provide better energy efficiency and protection, Government of India has set up another organization Energy Efficiency Bureau in 2001.

What are the measures of energy conservation?

  • In addition to the thermal panels, smart windows, windows is the biggest factor in conserving energy.
  • A large amount of energy is consumed by natural light and compact fluorescent lamps or CFLs (consuming only 1 / 4th of energy consumed by 15W and other means), fluorescent bulbs, linear fluorescent, solar smart flashlight, sky light, light from windows Can be saved using the system and solar lights.
  • Water conservation also leads to better energy conservation. Nearly thousands of gallons of water is wasted every year by people, which can be saved using various conservation methods such as: 6 GPM or at least flowing fountains, very low flush toilets, faucet water carriers, manure toilets.
  • Separation plays a very important role in the conservation of energy by reducing thermal reduction in the winter season, by acquiring thermal in summer. For example, natural wool separation, home separation, cotton separation, filament ablation, thermal separation etc.

How National Energy Conservation Day is celebrated

In order to make the national energy conservation campaign more effective and special throughout India, many energy conservation competitions are organized by the government and other organizations among the people as it is the main goal of this campaign. Various painting contests are organized at school, state, regional or national level on energy conservation day by students or members of organizations in many places.

National Energy Conservation Expedition is a National Awareness Campaign launched by the Ministry of Power to facilitate energy conservation in India. The organizing of painting competitions at different levels for the students is one of the main activities of this campaign which helps in educating the importance of energy conservation for the children and their parents participating in this campaign. This competition helps in making people aware of the housework. Each participant is given a subject such as: "more stars, more savings", "presently waste of energy, lack of energy in the future" and "defending the future defending the energy" etc. Competitors make their paintings more effective by using pencil shades, wax colors and water colors.

Students participating in the competition and winning are given a partnership certificate, qualifying certificate and cash prize of Rs 33,000 per state. This amount is distributed among the winners of state honored by the Ministry of Power in the program of National Energy Conservation Day on December 14.

The objective of National Energy Conservation Day

National Energy Conservation Day is celebrated every year with a special theme to make some goals and objectives more effective among the people.

  • It is celebrated among people to send messages of importance of energy conservation in every sphere of life.
  • To promote the process of energy conservation, many programs like: discussion, conferences, debates, workshops, and competitions in the country.
  • Encourage people to use less energy instead of excessive and extravagant energy.
  • Encourage people to reduce energy consumption and use efficiently.

Important role of Indian citizens in energy security

All and every citizen of India is aware of many ways of efficiently saving energy for the use of energy and the future. They adhere to the policies enforced by the Government of India to support all the rules, regulations and energy efficiency. The citizens of India are paying direct contribution in the campaign to reduce the use of energy during the 11th Five Year Plan period. Children are very much expected to bring positive change in the country and to improve the economic situation.
