Good Governance Day: 25 December

The Birth Anniversary of the former Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji, was announced annually by the Bharatiya Janata Party in the form of Good Governance Day all over India. It is a matter of great honor for the Indian people to celebrate Atal Bihari Vajpayee's Birthday as a Good Day. The first announcement of good governance day on Atal Bihari Vajpayee's birthday was made by Department of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India.

Good governance day is proclaimed on the basis of "good governance through e-governance", a program that invites all government officials to the meeting and communication, and is later celebrated by joining the main event. It is celebrated by organizing a long exhibition and participating in government officials, and inviting some suggestions about e-governance and exhibition.

Incidentally, the announcement of good governance day in India coincides with the December 25 Christmas celebration (a gazetted holiday), although work has been announced all over the country on Good Governance Day. This was the 90th birthday of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji when it was announced.

How to celebrate good governance day

The NDA Government has announced the birth anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Madan Mohan Malviya on 25th December every year. Students from schools and colleges participate in various activities like: essay writing competition, debate, group discussion, quiz competition, sports etc. Competitions have been arranged online for facilitating students like: Online essay writing, online quiz competition, etc. It was announced that all the students can participate in the activities during the two days of Good Governance Day (December 25-26). It was also confirmed that the online competitions will be organized on December 25, so opening of schools is not necessary.

Students may or may not participate in the competition because the online competition is voluntary. These students are not obliged to force them to participate in competitions.
