Every year, the selection of the Banking Personnel Institute organizes the IBPS PO Bank Examination for selection of Probationary Officers in Public Sector Banks. IBPS provides recruitment services to all public sector banks, SBI, SBI associate banks, RBI, NABARD, SIDBI, LIC and insurance companies and regular member banks of IBPS Society.

IBPS started the Common Written Examination (CWE) in 2011 for recruitment of officers and clerks in public sector banks. It accepts online application through its official website for registration of the examination.

It is organized at different places throughout India. The method of examination is online online in 2018, the IBPS CWE-7 PO Pre-Examination is organized on 7, 8, 14 and 15 October. The IBPS Po Chief examination will be held on November 26, 2018.

IBPS PO Examination Center

IBPS PO Examination (CWE) is organized online at various centers across India and candidates can mention their options while filling online applications. Although there is no unavailability of seats at the preferred places, IBPS allocates one examination center in addition to the options made by a candidate.

IBPS has the sole right to add or remove an examination center. Candidates can not make any request for change of examination center. Any abusive behavior in the examination center can cancel the application.

IBPS PO Recruitment 2018

Every year, Probationary Officers (PO) and Management Trenies (MT) are recruited through Common Written Examination (CWE), known as IBPS PO Examination. CWE started in 2011. It will be held for the seventh time this year. Therefore, it is officially called IBPS PO / MT CWE Seventh 2018

The selection process of IBPS PO includes 3 stages (initial, main and interview). Each of them has to qualify for the candidates to move to the next stage.

The important steps of the IBPS PO recruitment process are as follows:

Online initial examination: Based on the requirements for the Online Main Examination, the adequate number of candidates in each category has been challenged by IBPS.

Online Main Examination: In order to be eligible for the interview, candidates are required to get the qualifications of the total cut-offs in the main examination along with each exam.

Interview: The participating organization will organize an interview which will be coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State / Union Territory with the help of IBPS.

Final result: The final result has been announced on the basis of overall performance of the candidate in IBPS PO Manis and interview round.

Provisional allocation: The temporary allocation of eligible candidate has been released on the official website. IBPS allocates the candidates on the basis of the time of online registration time of the banks.

Different banks play their role in the IBPS selection process till the temporary selection. Apart from this, the responsibility of informing the candidates about their dates and procedures is with the concerned banks.

IBPS PO Exam Pattern

In the last few years, candidates will be held on the IBPS exam (CWE7) online for recruitment. The examination will be done in two parts: Tier 1 or IBPS preliminary examination and Tier 2 or IBPS main examination are conducted after this examination but this year there is a major change in IBPS Po 2018 main exam. This letter is similar to SBI PO 2018, IBPS has added descriptive letters in its main examination.

IBPS PO Prelims Exam Pattern

The initial examination of IBPS Po is one hour period and is conducted online. There are 3 squares with more than 100 questions, with a maximum score of 100 points. The IBPS PO is negative notation in the pre-examination because 0.25 points for every wrong answer are deducted. Candidates should clear sectional cut off to qualify for the IBPS PE Main Examination. IBPS PO Main Examination Pattern

This year IBPS has changed the IBPS due to IBPS, its main examination added descriptive paper. The IBPO PO main examination has also been conducted online, in which the total score of 4 points is 200 minutes 180 minutes and descriptive paper is 1 square, in which the total Scores mark 25-30-minute periods

The IBPS exam will have 5 sections and the time limit for each of the five sections is different, but the total time duration is for 180 minutes purpose and descriptive for 30 minutes. The candidates should try the sections in the same order and within the allotted time fixed by the body examining the body. Candidates can not leave the existing section before the allotted time. The next section is only after completion of the current section. For every mistake there is a negative marking with a reduction of 0.25 points. The section-wise details are given below:

IBPS PO Interview

Candidates who have passed the main examination will be called for an interview, which will come with 100 marks. In order to qualify for the interview, a candidate needs to score 40% (35% for SC / ST / OBC / PWD candidates).

The interviewing period is not held for less than 15-20 minutes. There is a panel of bank officials who will question the candidates for themselves related, banking sector, current affairs, general awareness etc. Candidates should take all necessary documents in well prepared, confident and interviewing.

Merit list is prepared on the basis of marks obtained in main examination and interview. IBPS works in the ratio of 80:20, respectively, with final scores and interviews with the weight of the points given in the main exam.

Penalty for wrong answer:

Fines for each wrong answer will be marked in both the initial and main objectives of the examinations. Each wrong answer will be punished by reducing 0.25 points given for that question. There will be no penalty for leaving a question blank, i.e. if no answer has been given by the candidate.

Final score count for IBPS PO exam:

There are some important points based on the calculation of final score for IBPS PO exam:

  • The marks created in the initial examination (Tier-1) will not be considered in the final score. They are only kept in mind to qualify for the main examination (Tier-2)
  • Candidates need to qualify for Phase 2 and Individual Interview to be eligible for the final stage.
  • The ratio of points between the CWE main exam and the interview for the final merit list will be 80:20, respectively.
  • 100 marks are used for the last merit list for each category. Candidates with higher qualification ranks in each category are finally elected.

IBPS PO Main Examination Course 2018

This year the examination pattern of IBPS Main has changed. IBPS has added a descriptive paper in its main examination, in which 4 classes have 180-minute total scores of 200 marks and descriptive papers are 1 section which is a total score of 25 points for a 30 minute period. These exams are of 5 classes: Computer, English Language, Data Analysis and Interpretation, General Awareness, and Descriptive Test (Paper and Essay).

IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria - 2018

Educational qualification

Bachelor Degree: Eligibility Criteria for IBPS CWE Examination is a bachelor's degree in any stream, such as BA, BCom, BSc, B. Tech, etc. from the university recognized by the Government of India. Candidates with the same qualification from the University recognized by the Central Government are also eligible to apply for this examination.

Candidates should have a valid mark-sheet / degree:

  • The certificate that supports that they are graduate on that day when they were registered for the examination.
  • The percentage of marks obtained from undergraduate should be mentioned at the time of registration for IBPS Bank-PO examination.

Computer Literacy: The knowledge of computer operation should be done as the IBPS PO examination should be conducted online.

Proficiency of language: Candidates should have oral and written proficiency in the official language of the State / Union Territory. The candidate should be able to read, write and speak the language.

Nationality / Citizenship of applicants:

Candidates applying for IBPS CWE / Bank Po Exam should be one of the following:

 

  • 1. Indian citizens
  • 2. The topic of Nepal or Bhutan
  • 3. Tibetan refugees who came to India before January 1, 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement
  • 4. Individuals of Indian Origin (PIO) who have migrated from East African countries of Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam or Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, Malawi with the intention of permanent settlement in India
  • Candidates belonging to Class 2, 3, 4 should have a certificate of eligibility in their favor by the Government of India.

Age eligibility for candidates who apply for IBPS Bank PO examination:

Candidates applying for IBPS CWE examination should be of the age of 20, but should not be more than 30 years at the time of registration. In addition, according to government rules, there is a waiver of age relaxation for classified candidates:

IBPS PO Pre-Exam Training

Nodal banks / Participating organizations can organize pre-examination training for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes / Religious Minority Communities on some centers as per the strategy issued by the Government of India. This is a training session where the candidates are familiar with the types of questions, common mistakes, and training organizations, time management, best practices, basic tricks and suggestions of approach. Its aim is to give students of weaker sections a level playing field which can not coaching and make them aware about the general initiative and recruitment process of the exam.

The candidates belonging to the above categories can get training by telling the same against the respective columns when applying on-line.
Pre-preferring training is free with other expenses such as travel, food and housing expenses, which is spent by the candidate. Generally, this is conducted five days before the exam and the dates are announced on the official website. Please see below an indicative list of training centers:

IBPS PO 2018 results

The results of IBPS will be issued after completion of each stage of examination. Payments (Salary) of IBPS PO

In most of the public sector banks, the pay of PO is more or less. According to the settlement of 10th biparti, the latest revision of bank pay salary was November 2012; In spite of this, the final agreement was signed in May 2015. Accordingly, the revised pay of the bank PO will be effective from January 1, 2016.

Thus, the revised basic salary of the PO becomes -

23700 - (980 x 7) - 30560 - (1145 x 2) - 32850 - (1310 x 7) - 42020

  • Rs. 23700 is the revised basic pay of the bank PO which is applicable on 1 January 2016. Thus, in the form of PO, a new entrant in a bank will get Rs. 23,700 as the basic salary
  • Rupees. 980 is the annual increase which will get a bank drink and it will be applicable for a period of 7 years.

  • Is the IBPS PO exam Bilingual?
  • All tests conducted by IBPS are bilingual, i.e. available in both English and Hindi
  • Is there Negative Marking?
  • For every wrong answer, there is negative marking in the objective tests of both Preliminary and Mains Exam of IBPS PO 2018. One fourth of the total marks allotted for that question will be deducted for marking a wrong answer.

Quantitative qualification section analysis

The quantitative attititude section was in two shift and there were some changes in the other two shifts. Instead of quadratic equations, the number series were questions and level was moderate. If you are preparing for bank examinations, it would be better to dedicate more time in calculation. Construct the speed so that you calculate quickly, there were only 2 sets of D. The questions in the logic section of all shifts were of the same pattern, with a slight variation. The questions of puzzles and sitting arrangements were more in the fourth change. Among the other changes, there were a total of 25 questions on the basis of the puzzle and seating arrangements in the fourth shift. Normally the pattern was as follows:
