Mahasaya Dharampal Gulati was born on 27 March 1923 in Sialkot (Pakistan). His father Mahasaya Chunnilal and Mataji Mata Chanan Devi were philanthropists and religious, and they were also followers of the Arya Samaj.
In 1933, before leaving school in the 5th grade, he left the school.

In 1937, with the help of his father, he started small business, after some time he did business of soap and later he had been working for some time. Then became a trader of clothes, then later he became a trader of rice. But in any of these businesses, they can not last long.

Later he again decided to do his own ancestral business, which was a business of Masala, which was known as Degji Chirp, and it was practiced throughout India.

After the partition of the country, he returned to India and reached Delhi on September 27, 1947. At that time, he had only 1500 rupees, of which he bought Tanga of 650 rupees and big Hindu Rao from Kutab road and Karol Bagh from New Delhi station. Till it used to run Later he bought small wooden khoye and started his family business and again illuminated the name of the Mahishion the Hatti of Sialkot "Digi Chiri".

With the unwavering dedication, clear vision and complete sincerity in business, Mahasaya's business was beginning to touch the heights. Who also inspired others. Very few people know the hard work behind the success of Mahasayaji, they have made a lot of effort to illuminate the name of their brand MDH. And today the MDH brand dominates the spice with 12% in the Indian market and the second largest.

Mahasabha has no secret of his huge success. They just followed the rules and regulations made in the business and went further, in order to move the business forward, according to them, it is important for the customers to get good service and good quality products as well. He has taken care of his business as well as the customers in his life. They do not waste time by serving humanity, they are always ready for religious activities.

In November 1, 1975, after starting a small hospital of 10 beds in Arya Samaj, Subhash Nagar, New Delhi, he established a 20-bed hospital in January 1984 in Janakpuri, Delhi in memory of his mother, Chan Devi, who later developed Having become a hospital spread over 5 acres of 300 beds. In this hospital, facilities available in all the world renowned hospital, such as MRI, C.T. I.w.f. etc.

At that time, due to lack of hospital facilities in western Delhi, this was not less than any boon for Western Delhi people. Mahasabha used to visit his hospital daily and also took care of the activities happening in the hospital. Like that time, Garibah is treated free of charge in that hospital even today. They are given free medicines and annual rupees are also given.

Mahasaya Dharmapala did not help the children, they established many schools and provided free education to the children. His organization is also associated with many multipurpose institutions, mainly including MDH International School, Mahasaya Chunnilal Saraswati Shishu Mandir, Mata Lilavati Kanya Vidyalaya, Mahasaya Dharampal Vidya Mandir etc.

He alone established more than 20 schools, so that he could assist poor children and society. Everyday they spend some time with those poor children and children too love them. We will be surprised to see that the person who does business of crores of rupees, giving daily time to those poor children.
