Lal Bahadur Shastri / Lal Bahadur Shastri was born in the name of Lal Bahadur Shrivastava in Mughalsarai, Varanasi. He was traditionally a civil servant and a school teacher. Shastriji's ancestor was a resident of Ramnagar, Varanasi. Shastriji's father Sharda Prasad Shrivastava was a school teacher who later became the employee of the revenue department of Allahabad, his mother Ramdulari Devi was a housewife. Shastri was the second child of his parents and the firstborn of his family.

In April 1906, Sharda Prasad's gilt was related to plague, which was a pandemic at the time. When Shastri was only 1 year old, he died. After his death Shastriji's life became even more difficult. But still Shastri did not give up and went ahead in life.

Lal Bahadur Shastri has also been the Prime Minister of Indian democracy and leader of the Indian National Congress. Shastri joined the Indian Independence Campaign in 1920. On which Mahatma Gandhi had the most influence He was a true follower of him and later he also became a follower of Jawaharlal Nehru.

After independence in 1947, he decided to join the government and as an assistant to Prime Minister Nehru, the first Railway Minister (1951-56) and later for other posts were also appointed for Home Minister. After Nehru's daughter, Lal Bahadur Shastri was the only one who supported the Nehru government.

Even many years before Indira, Lal Bahadur Shastri has been a great help in the victory of Nehru. Only after Shastri, Indira Gandhi took the reins of the Congress party in her hands. And like a prime minister, Shastri also followed Nehru's policies and promoted socialism.

During the Indo-Pak war of 1965, he proceeded to India. At the time of this war, his slogan "Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan" became very popular and even today this slogan is settled in the rug of the people. This war ended in the end of the Tashkent Agreement, and later he died due to heart disorders. According to experts, someone planned a conspiracy to kill him.

Lal Bahadur Shastri Death

Prime Minister Shastri died in Tashkent after the Tashkent agreements were signed at P.M. on 14 January 1966 due to heart failure. But people consider their death as a conspiracy of somebody.

Lal Bahadur Shastri is the first Prime Minister of India who died on the sea (Foreign Ministry). Vijay Ghat was also constructed in his memory. After his death Gulzarilal Nanda got an opportunity to become the Prime Minister of India till Indira Gandhi took the reins of the Congress party in its own right.

Lal Bahadur Shastri was a priest of truth and non-violence.

He believed that,

"People can never get true democracy or Swaraj from unrighteousness and violence."

  • After Pandit Nehru's departure, in 1964, Indians made Lal Bahadur Shastri the Prime Minister.
  • In 1965, Shastriji was the Prime Minister, at that time Pakistan attacked him for Kashmir but according to his order Indian Army defeated Pakistan. At that time Shastri planted the slogans 'Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan' to the soldiers and other soldiers.

The United Nations ordered the prisoner of war. Russia's Prime Minister Kosignin called Tashkent to Shastri and Ayabakhan for parts. On that part, on 10 January 1966, at 4 o'clock, on January 10, 1966, Shastri and Ayub Khan signed the agreement by keeping Koscian a witness. This is called 'Tashqad Pact'. On the same day, he was hit by a heart attack with tremendous shock.
