Bibi Ka Maqbara History

Bibi Ka Maqbara is a monument that is considered a replica of the Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal is definitely the most beautiful monument of India. But do you know that there is another monument in Aurangabad of India similar to the Taj Mahal?

Yes, we are talking about the Tomb of Bibi, for those who do not know about this, the Tomb of Bibi and the Taj Mahal are both the same. Today we will learn about Bibi Tomb - Bibi Ka Maqbara here.

Babbi's Tomb is a tomb located in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India. It was created by Aurangzeb's son Azam Shah in 1678 in memory of his mother, Dilraj Banu Begum. Tajmahal and this tomb are considered to be the same, where Mumtaz Mahal is also a Samadhi.

Aurangzeb had no interest in architecture, so that he had built a small but beautiful mosque in Delhi. Of the many historical buildings that Aurangzeb has built in his life, the tomb of Bibi is the most famous and beautiful.

Many people compare the Tomb of Bibi to the Taj Mahal. Because of this similarity, it is also called the Deccan Taj.

The tomb of Bibi was the main focus of Aurangzeb and its historic city. The main attraction of this mausoleum is in the Samadhi built at the main entrance of the tomb, which was done by the then engineer Hanspat Rai alias At-Ullah.

At-Ullah was the son of Ustad Ahmad Lahori who designed the Taj Mahal.

History of Bibi Ka Maqbara

According to historical facts, it was constructed between 1651 and 1661 CE. The marble used in the Tomb of Bibi's tombs was brought from the mine near Jaipur.

According to historians, more than 150 vehicles were used to bring the marble from Surat to Golconda.

The samadhi built in it is built just like the Samadhi built in the Taj Mahal but due to lack of architecture it was later rejected by the people as a replica of the Taj Mahal.

In the tomb

This mausoleum is built in Charbagh Garden. This Tomb stands in the middle of a large garden. This mausoleum is located in the center of a vast compound.

With its excellent garden configuration, its beauty and splendor take four moons. The high wall fencing of the premises has been made cobbler with arcades and turquoise has been made at regular intervals to make it attractive. The nullahs have been separated by the mural walled with small towers.

The human remains of Rabi-ul-Taurani are placed under the ground floor which is surrounded by an octagonal marble covered with beautiful designs, which can be reached by stairs.

The roof of this room, similar to the ground floor of the tomb, has been pierced by octagonal wind and a marble cover has been made as a low security wall. So, looking down below the octagonal feathers, the grave can be seen from the ground floor.

There is a dome on the top of the tomb, which has been pierced by the lattice and the panels with it have been decorated with floral designs, which are equally and cleansed, as much as the Taj Mahal of Agra. A small mosque is located in the west of the tomb, which is probably made later. Nails have been wandered across by five pointed arches and one can be seen on each corner.
