Importance of Electricity
Now-a-days electricity is a boon for us. It is an essential thing in our life. We cannot live comfortably without it. It is one of the most valuable gifts of science.
The invention of electricity has changed our world, completely. Electricity is very useful in our daily life. The advantages of electricity are many and of various kinds.
When we look toward the cities, we find the city life has no charm without electricity. It is used in offices. Fans are run, bulbs are used and electric bells announce the arrival of visitors.
Moreover trains are run by electricity. A journey by train is quick and cheap. From economic point of view we can save coal for other useful purposes and are free from smoke.
Electricity is very useful because telegrams, telephones, heaters, bulbs, talkies, computers, machines, cellular phone service, photography, radio, television and transistors cannot work in its absence.
Electricity plays an important part in industry and agriculture. Prosperity of a country depends on the production, business, trade and export. These are backbones of progress. Hence the role of electricity in the field of industry and agriculture is also very significant.
In the medical sphere, human body can be analyzed and diseases as well as fractures of bones can be examined with the help of X-rays. Plastic surgery is the latest and most useful invention. Due to electricity, science has lessened human pain and suffering a lot. Surgical instruments and radium have proved to be very useful in surgical operations.
Cancer is no longer as fatal as before. There is hardly any disease, for which an effective medicine has not been found out. So, it is no longer necessary to suffer the miseries o disease for a long time.
Thus it is not possible to enumerate all the uses to which electricity can be put. Our comfort, convenience, ease and prosperity depend on it. It has become so common in ou daily life these days, that we cannot think our world perfect without it. Hence electricity is the single most valuable gift of science to humans.
