India is bounded by the Muzlogh Ata, Aghil and Kunlun mountains to the north of Kashmir. She is bounded by the Zaskar mountains on the east side of the Himachal Pradesh and northern side of Uttar Pradesh. For the rest, Himalayas form her boundary in the Nepal region. In the north India is adjoined by China, Nepal and Bhutan. In the east lies Bangladesh (surrounded by the States of West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura and Mizoram), Burma (Myanmar), Tripura and Mizoram), Burma (Myanmar). Afghanistan and Pakistan border on north-west. The Gulf of mannar and the Palk Strait separate India from Sri Lanka in the south. The Andamon and Nicabar Islands in the Boy of Bengal and Lakshadweep in the Arabian sea also constitute ports of the territory of India.
