This scheme was first implemented in 100 districts of the country where the gender ratio of girls has reached the lowest level. First of all, on the basis of the 2011 Census, 100 districts of minimum sex ratio of girls from each State and Union Territories were selected as pilot districts.   • Strengthen PNDT Cells
  • Establishment of Monitoring Committees

Steps taken by the Ministry of Human Resource Development:

  • Girls' universal nomination
  • Reduce the rate of dropout among girls' education.
  • Friendly, friendly treats with girls in schools.
  • Enforcement of Right to Education Act (RTE)
  • Construction of functional toilets for girls.

How to Apply for Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Yojana

Age range for Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Yojana

All girls up to 10 years of age are eligible under this scheme. It is necessary to open a bank account in their name.

Tax free scheme - The scheme introduced by the Prime Minister is completely tax free. After opening your account, it will not be deducted from any amount.

Documents required for Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme

  • To open an account, make sure you have the following documents:
  • Child's birth certificate.
  • Proof of identity of parents or legal guardian
  • Proof of address of parent or legal guardian
  • Note: - This scheme is not for non-resident Indians.

According to the guidelines, rules and regulations of the Reserve Bank of India, the Overseas Indians can not apply for this scheme. Sukanya Devi Yojana is governed by Post Office Savings Account Rules 1981. Therefore, overseas Indians do not fall under this category.

How much benefits will girls receive -

Rs.150 crores will be spent for the protection of women by the Indian government.

BBBP scheme is being run with women and child development, health and family welfare and human resources development ministries. Prime Minister Modi has described this scheme as a great step and a boon for the society.

In the Union Budget, Rs 50 crore has been allocated to protect the safety of women under the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.

The best aspect of this plan - from the time of account opening, the account will mature when the woman attains the age of 21 years. Only after he is 18 years old will he receive money for higher education. When he becomes 21, you will be able to withdraw money from his account for his marriage. The maximum duration of this account is 21 years.
