Falaknuma Mahal is in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. This palace belonged to the Pagah family, and later on the Nizam of Hyderabad was ruled by. This palace is located in Falaknuma, 5 km from Charminaroma, in 32 acres (13 ha) area.

It was created by the Prime Minister of Hyderabad, Nawab Wick-ul-Umra and Nizam VI, uncle and brother of Nawab Mirbub Ali Khan Bahadur. In Falaknuma, Urdu means "like the sky" or "mirror of the sky".

Hyderabad's Prime Minister Wicker-ul-Umra used the palace as his personal residence. The palace was handed over to the sixth Nizam of Hyderabad, around 1897-1898.

The palace was built and constructed at a cost of forty lakh rupees. Needing to borrow from Bank of Bengal was necessary.

In the spring of 1897, Sir Wicker invited the fifth Nizam Mehboob Ali Pasha Chatra to the palace and offered him a week's stay.

Nizam accepted but paid some values ​​of the palace; The Pagah family said that around Rs 20 lakh was paid. Nizam used the palace as a royal guest house.

After the 1950s, did not use Falaknuma. The last important guest of this palace was the President of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad in 1951.

This palace was restored in 2010 after being rented by Hotel Taj Group; Hyderabad's eighth Nizam H.E.H. First wife H.H. Rajkumari was managed by Esara Jae.

The design

An English architect had built the palace. The foundation stone for the construction was laid on 3 March 1884 by Sir Disorder; He was the grandson of Hyderabad's third Nizam HH Sikandar Jeeh Bahadur.

It took nine years to complete the construction and present the palace. This palette is fully built with Italian marble and glass windows and covers the 1,011,500 square feet area.

The palace was built in the shape of a scorpion, in which two poles spread in the form of feathers in the north. The central part is spread over the main building and kitchen, round bungalow, Janana Mahal and Harem Quarter south. The Nawab was an eager traveler, and the combination of Italian and Tudor is seen in this architectural architecture.

One of the main attractions of the castle is the reception room, where the ceiling has been decorated with golden water.

There are 60 rooms and 22 halls in the palace. It includes paintings, figurines, furniture, manuscripts, books and an extensive z collection. It has a library with a carved walnut roof, replica of one in Windsor Castle; It was a comprehensive collection of the Quran.

Dining Hall 101 guests can sit. The chairs are made of carved Roosevelt with green leather. Tablecloths were made of gold and crystal set.

This palace was the private property of the Nizam family, and was generally not open to the public until 2000.

Renovations to a Luxury Hotel

In 2010, Taj Hotel started repair and restoration of the castle. The renovated hotel was opened in November 2010.
