Life Insurance Corporation is going to organize an online written examination for recruitment of 700 Assistant Administrative Officers (AAO) Scale I posts. Candidates who have completed graduation can give this examination. LIC has only announced vacancies for general posts. In recent years, the level of competitiveness in Ecajam has increased interesting. Therefore, the need for a focused and planned preparation selection for the examination becomes necessary. LIC AAO selection process: -

The LIC AAO selection process is very simple. The first step is to face an all-India online written examination and the second stage interview. In order to become eligible for the interview, candidates will be required to get total cut off marks in each section decided by LIC. Candidates will have to make marks and goal-oriented preparations for this examination.

  • The duration of the ime test will be 02:00 hours (120 minutes).
  • There will be a penalty for wrong answers i.e. for every wrong answer, that question will be deducted from one-fourth (1/4) of the marks given to the candidates obtained by the candidates.
  • The English language test is of qualifying and English language scores will not be counted for ranking.

LIC AAO Important Topics / Tips for Subjects

REASONING: - Reasoning Part is a very important aspect of this test. In the Reasoning Section 90 Marks are valuable. If there is good in a reasoning, then the chances of his selection will increase. This part is useful because of the patterns of questions asked in this examination.

  • There is a set pattern of questions asked in the insurance exam.
  • Exam will have two pages, which can be from blood relation, sewing arrangement (circular, square, linear), floor and main etc.
  • It is better to solve puzzles in the last.
  • If you are 100% sure then please try to puzzle because it can lead to negative marking.
  • Pay more attention to those questions which take less time.
  • Try to get more points from this section to increase your chances of qualifying for the interview.

LIC AAO Syllabus 2019 : Online Preliminary Exam (Phase I)

Exam Pattern: LIC AAO Exam Pattern shall be as follows :

  • The Exam Will be Online Objective Type.
  • The objective test will have separate timing for every section.
  • Medium of Exam will be English & Hindi.
  • The Time Duration of Exam Will be 01 Hour.
  • No Information about the Negative Marking is Provided by the Official Department. So Candidates Should wait for the Further updates.

Exam Syllabus: Syllabus of LIC AAO Online Test is given hereunder :

Reasoning : Focus on Comprehension Reasoning, Venn Diagrams, Number Series, Coding and de-coding, Problem Solving Techniques, Statement & Conclusion type questions,  arithmetic reasoning, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, syllogistic reasoning, Seating Arrangements.

English Language : Mainly Focus on the topics like Synonyms, Antonyms,  Sentence Error, Sentence correction, fill in the blanks, Comprehension & Cloze Test etc.

Quantitative Aptitude : Questions will be asked from Simplification, Average, Percentage, Time & Work, Area, profit & Loss, Simple & Compound Interest, Time & Speed, Investment, HCF LCM, Problem On Ages , Bar Graph, Pictorial Graph, Pie Chart. Date Interpretation is the section which have to be focused.

LIC AAO Syllabus 2019 : Online Main Exam (Phase II)

Exam Pattern: LIC AAO Main Exam Pattern shall be as follows :

  • Main examination will consist of objective tests for 300 marks and descriptive test for 25 marks.
  • Both the objective and descriptive tests will be online.
  • The objective test will have separate timing for every section.
  • Medium of Exam will be English & Hindi.
  • Candidates will have to answer descriptive test by typing on the computer.
  • Descriptive test will be administered immediately after the completion of the objective test.

For AAO (Generalist):

LIC AAO Syllabus 2019 : Interview (Phase-III)

Marks obtained in the Main Examination only will be considered for shortlisting for interview and marks obtained in Main Examination + marks obtained in Interview will be considered for final merit listing of candidates.

  • Maximum Interview marks are 60.
  • Qualifying marks for EWS, Unreserved, OBC and PwBD candidates are 30. Qualifying marks for SC/ST candidates are 27.
  • Candidates who obtain less than qualifying marks in interview shall not be considered for further process of recruitment.

Note: There will be no contingency/waiting list for candidates not declared successful in the main list. 

Quantitative Aptitude: - Eligibility is a segment which plays a final role in candidates' scores and merit list. Candidates who pass this examination are likely to score higher in this examination. Quantitative Aptitude also includes 90 marks for just 30 questions. So it is better to keep the complete command on mathematics.

  • Candidates are advised to save time with reasoning, English, Computer and General Awareness because this part takes longer to solve problems.
  • The questions in this section will be of high level.
  • Calculation questions are taking time, so candidates will have to manage time to solve the questions.
  • Do not spend too much time on a question. Solve the questions according to their merit.
  • Focus on all questions related to data interpretation, number series, simplification (if any)
  • How many candidates can create strategies. Questions to be solved in the aptitude section with proper focus on all other sections. The subject-oriented scheme is useful for problem solving.
  • There should be aucrecy for the rehearing and math section. If someone has scored 150+ marks in both of these sections then it will be of great benefit to the final merit.

Topics to focus: - Decimal and excerpt, simplification, percentage, ratio and ratio, profit, interest (simple and compound), profit and loss, time and distance, problems on sharing, time and work, number series, charge And mix, data interpretation.

General awareness: - Nowadays, common awareness is an important part of participating in the examination. Those candidates who are up to date about the facts and news of everyday aspects, they score more in this section

  • In the current AAO exam, most questions are asked for general awareness from current affairs.
  • Mainly focus on the current affairs related to the insurance sector, the economics sector.
  • Current issues of national and international news, important dates, current science, technology, sports and culture, currency, capital, United Nations headquarters, United Nations headquarters are the topics to which questions will be asked.
  • Candidates are advised to increase their ax by reading the journals related to daily Current Affairs, Current Affairs.
  • To score good marks in the exam, Static GK will also be Handy.
  • Candidates can answer only those questions on which they are completely convinced because they have negative notation. The wrong answers tend to reduce your chances for the selection.

Computer knowledge: - LIC is an additional part of the questions related to computer knowledge in the AAO exam. In this section 30 questions will be asked from computer knowledge.

  • In this section, questions related to topics related to Basic of Computer, Computer Organization, Generation of Computers, Input and Output Devices, Shortcuts and Basic Knowledge MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, Memory Orientation, Internet, LAN, Vans, Modem Are. , Computer abbreviations, modern day technology
  • Candidates can easily score in this section because the curriculum is not so vast. Questions on the operation that a person usually does on a computer.
  • This part is taking less time, so it can help to solve not much. Questions in Reasoning and Aptitude

English Language: - English section is of qualifying nature only. So do not try to ask all questions.

  • In this section, candidates need to pay more attention to selected topics such as errors, comprehension, close test.
  • The understanding in this exam is very long. Therefore, the candidates will have to manage the time to read the entire passage and answer the questions.
  • It is better to do 20-25 questions accurately because this part is of qualifying nature only.
  • It is often seen that it seems less scoring to the candidates. But this part is easy to score and when it takes less time the proper preparation time is given in English.
  • Candidates are advised not to lessen the English part as it is very important to qualify for the interview.

Topics to focus: - Spot the Error, Phil in the Blanks, Close Passages, Comprehensive Passages.

LIC AAO Interview: - Candidates who have been declared qualified in the written examination and they have more marks than the cut off prescribed by LIC, will be called for interview. Candidates will have to get good marks in the interview to get through the final selection. The main focus in the interview is your personality, confidence, knowledge of the insurance sector, the current affairs related to banking, RBI RBI rates. Tips for cracking the LIC AAO examination: - Candidates need to follow the following tips to crack the AAO examination: -

  • Since the level of LIC AAO is much higher than any other assistant exam, the candidates need to work very hard on a regular basis.
