In India, there are many temples of 'Bal Ganesh', 'Bal Gopal', 'Bal Krishna', 'Bal Hanuman', that is, God's childhood. According to Hindu philosophy, a child is considered the form of God. India is known as Dhruv, Prahalad, Lav-Kush and Abhimanyu, whose talents are children with intellect, intelligence and warship. Apart from this, the present picture of the poor Indian child is very dark. The poor child has been the most neglected, most exploited and the most abused. Women children in the whole class of such children are the most deprived and deprived. Girls are not only removed from schools and forced to join child labor but they are also being dragged into prostitution.
Child labor violates human rights and is considered 'necessary evil' in any country in the world. The Indian legislature has also implemented the Factory Act, 1948, The Children Act, 1960, The Child Labor (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, 1986, to protect the rights of children. Article 45, 1950 of the Constitution of India has imposed a duty on the state to provide free and compulsory education to the children. Article 25 (2) of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights also mentions motherhood and special care and support for children.
Over the last few years, the work done by the Government of India and the state government on this issue is commendable. Several new schemes and policies have been started for the education and improvement of children. However, this problem still exists in India, though all these policies are available in India.
There can be no other opinion that child labor should be restricted and if possible it disappears altogether. This is a socio-economic national problem, which requires close analysis and practical solutions to meet this burning question.
