The Final Moments in UPSC Interview

Feed by Manisha Cat- UPSC

Once the Personality Test is over and the Board asks you to leave, again remember what you have done in the start. How you had entered. You should ensure that you leave the hall with a very positive body language you should give an impression to the Board that more than a question answer session it was a great learning experience for you wherein you have learnt and gained from the wisdom of the esteemed Board members.

You should definitely thank them with a very pleasant smile on your face and very positive facial expressions and while getting up from the chair you should ensure that the least possible noise is made due to the dragging of the chair. Once you have started moving towards the door don't try to see back to the Board members as to what their reactions are. While leaving the hall it is sufficient to say Thank you Sir/Madam” In my opinion, considering the high degree of formalness, you refrain from saying anything more like "Have a good/ nice day" or "It was a great learning experience” etc. Remember, you have to 'show' them not 'tell' them that it was a great learning experience for you.
