Radiation is an event in which the movement of energy is involved through space. A number or atoms have the ability to emit radiation, and thus, the radio causes active pollution.
Radiation is generated by the instability of the nucleus of an atom that loses sub-atomic particles and energy to obtain stable state. The phenomenon is called radio-activity. A physical, chemical or biological process can affect, emit or eliminate these emissions from the radio-emitted element because it is the condition of the atomic nucleus that is responsible for the event.
An element and its isotope's atom
The origin of the atom of any element is formed by a super-dense object, nucleus which is made of neutrons and protons. The number of protons is equal to the number of electrons that revolve around the nucleus.
The chemical properties of the element depend on the number of electrons that roam around the nucleus, especially in its outer orbits. As far as the chemical properties are concerned, one element will remain the same until the number of electrons (or protons) is not equal. If the number of protons is changed then one element will change or the transmission will be converted to another.
However, the change in the number of neutrons in the nucleus will not affect the chemical properties of the element, instead it will constitute different isotopes of the same element. Most of the elements are in nature in the form of a mixture of two or more atomic forms or isotopes.
