Environmental stress has often been the result of increasing demand for pollution generated by the natural resources and the growing standard of the relatively rich people. But poverty only pollutes the environment.

Poor and hungry are often forced to destroy their immediate environment for their survival. They cut forests; their animals threw grasslands; They use marginal land. As soon as their numbers increase, they crowd in crowded cities. To make poverty a major global problem, the cumulative effects of these changes are still reaching.

In the beginning of the twentieth century, progress in medicine, agriculture and industrial techniques seemed to promise long life, decent food, adequate housing and satisfactory employment to all.

However, until 1987, when there were about 5 billion people on Earth, one fourth of them lived in luxury in rich developed countries and the remaining three quarters lived in poor areas of the world.

The poorest of these countries are called developed countries, whereas the areas between these two extremes within the developing and less developed countries are called developing countries, many people have enough to meet the requirements of life so that Self can be kept healthy, while millions of others live below poverty level too.

According to a World Bank study by at least 800 million people, one in six people in the world has such a limited diet that they do not have enough energy to do normal physical activities.

According to 70-80 percent of the World Health Organization in some poor countries in Africa, Latin America and Asia have been so damaged by malnutrition that they will never be able to realize their full genetic potential.

A quarter of the world's population living in developed countries use about 80 percent of the resources consumed by mankind in one year. The remaining three quarters of the population live on 20 percent. People in the United States, which constitute only 5 percent of the world population, consume about 35 percent of the raw material. The difference between 'Haves' and 'No' is growing wider.

These inequalities do not represent differences in the quality of life today, but also in the capacity of these societies to improve the quality of life in the future.

Most of the poorer countries depend on their original resources for export income, which are weak for the ups and downs of trade. Unless there is a more equitable business relationship, anyone can be afraid of uninterrupted resources for the environment and irreversible damage in these countries.

Due to the uneven distribution of land and other properties, poverty is increasing in the countries. Rapid growth in the population has also contributed to the inability to increase the standard of living. To develop crops for export, increasing demand for commercial use of agricultural land has pushed many subsistence farmers to less fertile land.

Apart from this, as you know the deforestation of extensive forests, the use of land for cultivation of residential and commercial purposes on agriculture has become a cause of disasters like drought and flood.

Most of the victims of such calamities are poor people, and the poverty of the environment makes their existence even more difficult and uncertain. Their financially vulnerable governments are sick due to the lack of facilities required for crop and lack of monetary reserves with such disasters. Apart from this the increase increases.

In this way, we see that the lack of development and developmental processes generate environmental challenges. The search for a more viable future can only be meaningful in the context of a more vigorous effort to abandon and eliminate the means of elimination.
