I, Ritika Verma from Standard-IX (C), wish to deliver a speech on Human Rights. Since social science is my favorite subject, so I can think of the best subject for this speech, this human rights and much more because it is an important part of human existence. Why is it important because we do not live in isolation, but in a democratic system where everyone has some roles and responsibilities. Apart from this, each of us also deserves some rights, so that we can enjoy our position as a human.
In a decent society, rights play a very important role in the overall development of human personality. Personal rights are referred to as situations in which a person is able to achieve his rights or ideals, who come with a set of special rights. If I had to define human rights, then I would define it in the words of Harold Joseph Laski, who said that "rights are, in fact, those situations of social life, without which no person can make the best of themselves in general is." "In simple words, humans have basic needs to lead a good life, which are accepted under the legal code of the state.
Human rights are universal in nature in the form of a legal and moral framework, whose purpose is to protect the interest of people with harsh legal, political and social misbehavior. The following human rights are examples:

- Rights against exploitation
- Right to freedom of religion
- Right to Join Political Party
- Right to fair trial when accused of crime

Today, please allow me to use this opportunity and talk on a very important subject, on which each of us should have a fair knowledge and that is human rights!
The concept of human rights, as we now define, is of a recent origin in the context of long human history. Modern thinkers and commentators attribute human rights to being a product of the French Revolution in the 18th century, where the value of freedom, equality and fraternity stood as central theme for the whole struggle. However human suffering for the basic rights of all people has been a fundamental aspect for all during human history. It is an understanding of the basic nature of human rights which we all need to be able to understand and understand its meaning, purpose and of course importance in the present time.
All the revolutions and movements in the modern revolution such as the French Revolution, the American Revolution, the various independence movements against colonial rule, the anti-slogan movement, the movements of women's rights, etc. all are all a common topic. It is to recognize the basic rights of each person to live a life of equality and freedom. These movements helped shape the modern concept of human rights. Today, I am going to address a very important aspect of human life, i.e. human rights. Human rights are defined as groups of rights that are fundamental to human existence. These rights enable a person to live without any fear or threat. Universalization of human rights without discrimination is a sign of civilized society. These rights have been made keeping in mind the fundamental human needs and needs. Thus, human rights have found their place in every nation's constitution.
And, it is the responsibility of the very nation to safeguard human rights for its citizens and give them freedom to work in their interests, thereby not jeopardizing the integrity of others. As these rights make a universal appeal, human rights and related problems have become the cause of global concern. In fact, the United Nations has adopted the Human Rights Charter and has asked various governments not only to give them proper place in their constitutional body, but to ensure their enforcement.
