He was also a great scientist, intuitive thinker and motivational speaker.
It really makes an inspiring figure for all of us that he is from a very humble background in the remote southern village of India called Rameswaram. This was the place where he got the first job of collecting the bundle of the newspaper thrown off the moving train. He has shared the experiences of his life with everyone, especially with the children and how he first filled himself with pride in remembering those days of earning money on his own.
But this great person, who has inspired lakhs of people, got inspiration from many people who helped him to become one who was definitely he and certainly respected India's Missile Man. Let's learn about one of those personalities who shaped their personality and mentioned them. First of all, he was Iyadurai Solomon who was a teacher of Kalam and Kalam shared a great bond with him. This teacher greatly influenced Kalam's thinking process because he gave him a mantra, "To succeed in life and achieve results, you should understand and master the three powerful powers-will, faith and expectation."
Iyadurai Solomon was actually a great teacher because he helped shape his students' personality and find a sense of self-worth. He also told Abdul Kalam that "With faith, you can change your destiny."
He also believed that he can leave a mark on the society despite the fact that his parents do not take advantage of education. Abdul Kalam was also impressed with the mysteries of the sky and from the early childhood he used to observe the flight of birds. Interestingly, he became the first child to fly through Rameswaram.

As proud citizens of India, we should never forget the contribution of those great figures born on our planet and should be very much contributing to the development of our nation. It goes without saying that such a personality is like Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, who was also called India's Missile Man.
Bharat Ratna honored, Dr. Abdul Kalam is the full name of APJ Abdul Kalam, Jainulabadin Abdul Kalam, and he was the 11th Indian President who served the country from 2002 to 2007. He was elected against Laxmi Sehgal in 2002 and attracted by the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Indian National Congress - two major Indian political parties. As we all know that being a scientist with the profession, he was also an Indian administrator. He worked as ISRO, i.e. Indian Space Research Organization and DRDO, i.e. Defense Research and Development Organization, as an Aerospace Engineer before being elected as the 11th Indian President. Today is 5th September and like every year we have gathered here to celebrate Teacher's Day. I am feeling very honored to have the opportunity to host this event. On teacher's day, I would like to talk about one of the greatest personalities, whom I admire, Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam. I am sure everybody appreciates the great Missile Man for a remarkable contribution in our country.
Dr. APJ Kalam has been a great inspiration for me and his whole life journey has played a very important role in transforming my life into positive form.
We all know that Dr. Kalam was an Indian scientist and philanthropist politician, who served as president of India from 2002 to 2007. His full name was Avul Pakir Jainulabadin Abdul Kalam. Born on October 15, 1931 in a Muslim family, Dr. Kalam was a brilliant student and an obedient child, who helped his family earn their livelihood. He was born in Dhanushkodi, on the southeastern coast of India. As a child, Dr. Kalam developed a great attraction with flying by seeing birds. This hobby of Kalam evolved into a mission to join the aeronautics later; After watching an article about a British fighter plane, the mission became stronger.
His father's profession was to build and rent boats. Kalam was a very bright and diligent student. He distributed newspapers in his area to support his father. But he always had great interest in studies; He was a very promising student and loved much about science and mathematics. Dr. After passing Kalam, he went to St. Joseph's College and attended the Madras Institute of Technology and obtained his degree in Aeronautical Engineering.
He was always a promising student and used to get as much knowledge as possible as possible in his school and college. Dr. Kalam joined Indian Defense Department after completing his graduate studies. He was one of the key figures to develop India's nuclear capabilities. Although a practicing Muslim, Dr. Kalam joined himself in the wider culture of India. In his spare time, he studied Indian classical music and one of the most sacred texts of Hinduism: Bhagavad Gita.
Dr. Kalam earned many accolades along with honorary doctorate from more than 40 universities. He got the Bharat Ratna of India's highest civilian honor in the year of Padma Bhushan in year 1981, Padma Vibhushan in the year 1990 and his outstanding contribution in modernizing India's defense technology in the year 1990. Apart from being a great scientist and a great personality, he was also an enthusiastic writer. He wrote several books, including his autobiography Wings of Fire in 1999, which is a great inspiration for the youth of India.
Dr. Kalam always lived a simple life and he was a philanthropist. He was always passionate about recognizing something for India. He made the "What Can Eye Movement" in 2011; It was created with the purpose of developing a compassionate society.
Due to a heart attack, on July 27, 2015, Kalam passed away. During his last visit, he was lecturing at IIM (Indian Institute of Management), Shillong.
