Arvind Ghosh was born on August 15, 1872 in Kolkata (India) of Bengal province. Krishna Dhan Ghosh was his father and Swarnalata Devi was his mother. His father was an assistant surgeon in Rangpur in Bengal and he influenced Agrajo's culture so that he had put his children in English school.

Why did he even want his children to know a lot about Christian religions? Arvind Ghosh, along with his brothers, was sent to study in the Loreto House Boarding of Darjeeling. It was considered the main center of the British government's culture.

Religious reforms like Arvind Ghosh's great-grandfather Brahmo Samaj were very active in the movement. Inspired by them, Arvind Ghosh also wanted to bring social reforms.

When Arvind Ghosh was only seven years old, he was sent to England and he remained there for fourteen years.

He started his studies with Saint Paul's School (1884) and after receiving the Whahaper scholarship he completed his studies at King's College (1890) in Cambridge. He was very clever and intelligent in his studies so that he also passed the examination of the Indian Chancery Service.

At the age of 28, in 1901, Arvind Ghosh married Mrinalini, the girl of Bhopal Chandra Bose. Bose was a government official.

But in December 1918, Influenza was infected with Mrinalini's death.

Role in the Indian Freedom Struggle

When Arvind Ghosh got his job in Gaekwad of Baroda in 1893 he returned to India. He used to get many languages ​​from other countries, but he had very little knowledge about Indian culture.

He worked in Baroda for 12 years as a teacher, for some time he was also secretary of Gaikwad Maharaja. For some time, he also worked as the Vice President of Baroda College, due to which he got a lot to learn about Indian culture and language.

After twelve years of living in India, Arvind Ghosh came to know that to what extent the British had hurt Indian culture and gradually he also started taking interest in politics.

From the beginning, he had emphasized on the demand for complete independence for India.

In 1905, Viceroy Lord Curzon divided Bengal. The movement against the partition of Bengal started in the entire country. The whole nation stood up against this partition. At such a time, revolutionizing the revolutionaries like Aurobindo Ghosh was unimpressive.

After partition of Bengal, he had come to Kolkata in 1906. From Above, Arvind Ghosh opposed the non-co-operation and peacefully British government but from the inside, he used to work with revolutionary organization.

Bengal's Arvind Ghosh used to live with many revolutionaries and he inspired Bajha Jatin, Jatin Banerjee and Surendranath Tagore. He had set up several committees, including Anushilan Samiti.

He also participated in the 1906 session of Indian National Congress and Dadabhai Naoroji was the President of this session. He worked for the four main objectives of the national movement- Swaraj, Swadesh, boycott and national education. He started the 'Vande Matram' newspaper in 1907.

He strongly criticized the government's 'Vande Mataram' on the injustice of the government. In Vande Mataram, because of writing against the British, a case was registered against them but they were released.

In the year 1907, the Congress had lost both the middle and the extremists in such two groups. Arvind Ghosh was involved in extremist groups and he supported Bal Gangadhar Tilak. After that, Arvind Ghosh went to Pune, Baroda Bombay, and he did a lot of work for the national movement.

In 1908 Khudiram Bose and Praful Chaki, two youths of these Anushilan Samaj, planned to kill King George, the harsh judge. But they failed. Khudiram Bose came to the police hands. They were falsified. The police started the operation by the Anushilan Samiti.

Arvind Ghosh was arrested. After being kept in solitary confinement for a year in Alipur, he was released. Then he realized that he did not become a freedom movement and gradually he started learning about spirituality.

In April 1910, he moved to Pondicherry for a new beginning of life. They removed 'Yogashram' there The story of Arvind's ashram has spread throughout the world and he has got a lot of followers. Arvind Babu always used to meditate spiritually. From 1914 to 1921, he organized the spiritual magazine named 'Arya'.

While living in Pondicherry, Aurobindo Ghosh practiced spirituality and taught the entire yoga also. The main purpose of doing all this was to make human development and make human life more beautiful.

Do not have complete faith in spirituality, according to them, spirituality is related to every human being. In 1926, with the help of his spiritual colleagues, Mirra Alfassa (Mother), he established the Sri Aurobindo Ashram.

He was nominated for Nobel's Literary Prize (1943) and Nobel Peace Prize (1950) for his contribution to poetry, spirituality and philosophy.

Arvind Ghosh's death

Mr. Arvind Ghosh died on December 5, 1950.

For the invaluable contribution made in the field of spirituality and philosophy, the first Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru and the President of India Dr. Rajendra Prasad also praised him.

In trying to get freedom in the country, he made attempts at all the ways and succeeded in it. In order to awaken the youth of the country and to further intensify the spark of freedom in their heart, they had brought 'Vande Matram' newspaper. There were several revolutionary constructions after reading this newspaper's thoughts.

To make the country independent, he organized a number of agitations. His movement was so fierce that for him, he had to go to jail once. Arvind Ghosh also wanted to improve the country with the help of social reform. That is why he also organized a number of social movements.
