Golconda Fort is also known as Golconda and Gollha Konda, a fort and fortress built in the south of India. Golconda was the capital of the medieval Sultanate of Qutab Shahi Empire (C. 1518-1687).

This fort is located 11 kilometers away from the south of Hyderabad. This fort is well-known in India's Telangana state of Hyderabad. His empire was also famous because he had given many prized things to the country like Kohinoor Diamond.

The Golconda fort was built in the time of the Maratha Empire. This town and fort is built on 120 meters (480) highway from Granite Hill and is surrounded by vast splendor. Pratap Rudra of Kakatiya had repaired him.

But later on the fort the Musunnuri Nayak had captured the fort, defeating the Tugalki army in Warangal. This fort was built by King of Warangal in the 14th Century. Later, this Bahamani went into the hands of the Rajo and started to be called Muhmadabadnagar.

In 1512 AD, this Qutb Shahi came under the authority of the King and remained his capital till the time of the foundation stone of present-day Hyderabad. Then Aurangzeb won it in 1687 AD. It is built on a hill of granite, which has eight doors and is surrounded by three miles long strong wall of stone.

The ruins of the palaces and mosques here tell their ancient pride the story of dignity. Musee river flows south of the fort. Almost half a mile from the fort is the granite stone tomb of Qutubshahi Rajo, which still exists in broken eruption.

There are five curves in the mosque, in which the lotus is made in each round of a circular medal. The middle curve is the largest and most decorated. From the inside the mosque is divided into two parts.

The big wall has remained in front of the entrance of the fort. This wall prevents the state from attacking soldiers and elephants.

Golconda fort is famous for the wondrous acoustic system. The topmost part of the fort is "Bala Hisar", which is several kilometers away from the fort. Simultaneously, the water system of the fort is the main center of the "Rehman" attraction.

It is said that there is a secret path between "Darbar Hall" and the palace. There is also the tomb of the Qutb Shahi Rajo in the fort. This grave remains on the basis of Islamic traditions and artifacts and is situated in the northern direction 1 kilometer away from the outer wall of Golconda. Beautiful and charming orchards like KGB have remained. It is said that there is also a secret door to go to Charminar.

Golconda fort is the main center of the two theaters attraction on the outskirts of Golconda Fort. This theater is built on rocks. There is also a "black temple" in the fort. You can also see it from the king's court, which is on the height of the Golconda Fort.

The local government later planned to convert this place into a golf club.

Qutub Shahi Tomb -

The tomb of the Qutb Shahi Sultan remained a distance of 1 kilometer from the north side of the outer wall of the Golconda fort. This grave is made of beautiful and attractive stones and a beautiful green garden of the grave has also been built. People have come to see this grave for years.

Golconda Fort Interesting Facts:

1. The 425-year-old tree is still there -
An African baobab tree, which was also called the shrine of the local people, this tree comes in a new fort. This shrub is 425 years old. It is said that Arabian merchants gifted it to Sultan Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah.

2. Actually it was a brick fort which was later expanded -
If the Golconda fort was actually seen in the 13th century, the Kakatiya ruler had done it. Earlier it was only a fort of brick and later it was expanded.

3. World famous diamond -
Darya-e-Noor, Noor-ul-Anne Diamond, Kohinoor, Asha Diamond and Regent Diamond were before the Sultan of Golconda before leaving India.

4. The ancient madman had saved the city -
It was ancient times, a madman was in power, Fateh used to stay behind the door and protects him. When Aurangzeb was preparing to enter the fort, then he could never attack while being with this madman. Only a Mughal army officer asked him to leave the place so that Aurangzeb could attack the fort.

5. Clap Kill Miyan -

6. The Mahakali temple is situated on the top of the fort -
Sri Jagadamba Mahakali temple was built on the top of the fort. King Ibrahim Kuli Qutb Shah was famous in Hindoos; Hindus used to call him as Malachibiram.

7. It has inspired many films like Shri Ramdasu -
Ram Das was a revenue officer who was put in jail by Abul Hasan Tanah Shah. Because he used misappropriation of money in making Badralamam Shri Ram Mandir. It is said that Lord Rama had come in the dream of Tanah Shah and he also paid off the immersed money to rescue Ram Dasu.

8. Mysterious tunnel and way to go out -
It is said that this fort has a mysterious tunnel that starts from the Darbar Hall and takes the side out through the lowest part of the fort. In fact, this tunnel used to be used by people of the royal family to leave the emergency, but this tunnel was never seen in the present.

10. This fort has inspired three places with similar names in USA, the first Arizona, the second Illinois and the third Nevada -
The mining town is also in Golconda, Arizona and today it is called a ghostly city, the place was named after the Golconda fort.

In Illinois, there is a place named Sarahsville, whose name was changed to Golconda on January 24, 1817, it is said that its name was changed after being inspired by the ancient city Golconda. The third is in Golconda City Nevada.
