Chaturshringi Temple

Chaturringi Devi is the principal deity of this temple and the goddess is also called Ambreeshwari Devi. It is said that to reach the Goddess, 100 stairs have to be climbed. This temple is also a temple of Goddess Durga Devi and Lord Ganesh, as well as an opportunity to visit Vetal Maharaj in this temple.

History of Chaturringi Temple

It is a very ancient temple of Maharashtra and it is said that this temple was built in the time of Emperor Shivaji Maharaj of the Maratha empire. The task of caring for this temple has been entrusted to Chaturringi Devasthan Trust. This temple is considered a symbol of strength and faith.

Legend of Chaturringi Temple

There is a very famous story related to this temple. Unfortunately, Pettamardas Mahajan was a very wealthy businessman and he was a great devotee of the Seventh Shree Devi. He used to come from Pune to Vani every year in the Chaitra month only to see the Goddess on Purnima. But when he was old, he had to face a lot of trouble during the visit to see the Goddess.

Knowing this thing, one day came to the dream of that businessman and asked him to take out the idol of Goddess kept in the hill of Pune and on the same place preached to make a temple of Goddess. Goddess wanted that she could always stay with her devotees.

At the behest of the Goddess, the devotee went to that place and fixed the place to build the temple of the Goddess and after reaching it, the devotee got a wonderful statue of Goddess at that place. At the same place, he later built a huge temple of Goddess.

Chutchringi Temple Time to Open

This temple is kept open for devotees from 6 am to 9 pm.
On Tuesday, this temple is closed at 12 noon. On Tuesday and Friday, the Goddess is worshiped and in these days devotees come to a large number of temples. For this reason, this temple is closed at 12 noon.

Festival celebrated in the temple

The festival of Navaratri is celebrated extensively in this temple. During this festival temple devotees come in large numbers. This festival runs for a total of nine days and during this time people come to see the Goddess. Navaratri is the most prominent festival of this temple.

During Navaratri, the temple is beautifully decorated and the temple is lit all around.

In this festival, the worship of the Goddess is performed and on this auspicious occasion a big journey is organized. There is a large crowd in the journey during the night and is illuminated.

Apart from Navaratri, big festivals like Diwali, Holi and Ganesh Chaturthi are also celebrated here.

The festival of Vat Purnima is also celebrated in this temple. In this festival, all the women come to the temple and worship Goddess and the banyan tree is specially worshiped.

Many buses have been provided to come to the temple every day from Mumbai. All types of buses are available from Satara, Raigad and Ahmednagar.

Shivajinagar Railway Station, Khadki Railway Station and Dapoli Railway Station are the closest to here.

Lohegaon Airport, Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Gandhinagar Airport and Kolhapur Airport are very close to here.
