Rambagh Palace is an excellent palace of Jaipur. It was former residence of Maharaja Ram Singh II of Jaipur and it has now become a deluxe hotel of the Taj Group.

This hotel is considered one of the best hotels in the world, with every modern luxury facility available. It also reveals the rich culture and history of the former rulers of Rajasthan.

Rambagh Mahal was the residence of members of the royal family for more than two eras. Later, the palace was turned into a royal guesthouse. The first building of Rambagh Palace was 'Garden House' which was established by Rajkumar Ram Singh II in 1835.

In the beginning of the 20th century, the cottage was extended by Samuel Swinton Jacob to the palace. Raja Sawai Man Singh II converted the palace to the main residence and in addition, in 1931 several royal structures were developed.

After independence, the castle was captured by the Indian government. Although in the 1950s, it was felt that the maintenance of the palace with the garden was extremely expensive and in 1957, it was decided that the palace will be transformed into a deluxe hotel.

In 1972, Rambagh Palace became the property of the Taj Hotel, converted to a premium hotel in Jaipur.

Rambagh Palace today transforms into a premium hotel, which offers travelers a life enjoyment between supernatural and luxury.
